What is basaksehir city?

Başakşehir is a district of Istanbul, Turkey. It is located on the European side of Istanbul, to the north-west of the city center. The district was established in 2008, and it is one of the fastest developing residential areas in Istanbul. Başakşehir has a population of around 460,000 people, and it covers an area of 105 square kilometers.
